Hugo is successful on so many levels, it's hard to know where to begin. It is a true triumph for Martin Scorsese -- his first PG rated film since The Age of Innocence (1993)! It is no wonder that the film garnered the most 2011 Academy Award nominations (11), and won 5 of those awards (Cinematography, Art Direction, Visual Effects, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing).

Disney's latest offering Enchanted is extremely clever, loads of fun, and of course, thoroughly enchanting. Combining animation with real life actors, Enchanted starts with a classic fairytale and turns it upside down, literally. In Alice-through-the-Looking-Glass fashion, our heroine falls down a well and turns up -- where else? -- coming out of a manhole in New York's Times Square!

The story line of Martian Child is certainly not new. But despite its predictablity, John Cusack and Bobby Coleman (as the child) bring a freshness to this family drama that make it quite endearing.

Director Bill Paxton pulls out all the stops in this period golf drama, based on the true story of the 1913 U.S. Open, a battle between 20-year old amateur Francis Ouimet and 1900 U.S. Open Champion, Englishman Harry Vardon. This is a wonderful film for golf enthusiasts, but you don't have to love golf to love the film.
